Description:

XFCE support added!

Simple and clean theme, based on original Adwaita.
Supported desktop environments: gnome 3.28+, xfce 4.12+.
Also provides Lounge-aux icon theme - auxiliary set of symbolic icons for better user experience (see second picture).

Installation:
1. Download and extract theme archieve for your gnome version.
2. Replace word Adwaita in line 4 of Lounge-aux/index.theme file with name of icon theme you're using.
You can do it by running this command from extracted folder, just replace Suru with your icon theme name:
sed -i s/Adwaita/Suru/ Lounge-aux/index.theme
3. Move Lounge and Lounge-night folders to /usr/share/themes (or ~/.themes).
4. Move Lounge-aux folder to /usr/share/icons (or ~/.icons).
5. Set Lounge (or Lounge-night) as your gtk and gnome-shell theme.
6. Set Lounge-aux as your icon theme.

Note: For Lounge-night gtk2 theme you also need to install gtk-murrine-engine (gtk2-engines-murrine for debian/ubuntu) from your distro repos.

Ubuntu 18.10 users should build theme from source, for proper nautilus styling.

Fedora users can install theme via copr repository:
sudo dnf copr enable monday15/lounge
sudo dnf install lounge-gtk-theme

Flatpak apps support available via Flathub:
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

flatpak install flathub org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Lounge
flatpak install flathub org.gtk.Gtk3theme.Lounge-night

Building from source:
Download source tarball (or clone github repository) and follow instructions provided in README.md file (you can also read it on github).

My personal opinion is the this WM theme would look better on top of new adwaita theme as long as it matched the new adwaita theme at the top and wasn't black. The newer Adwaita theme is pretty darn nice but of course xfce users do not get a default WM theme as always.

I like it a lot for xfce but instead of black for WM theme would it not look better to be the same color as the top of Adwaita theme.

Do you plan a dark panel option for the future?
Running on XFCE DE here.
Thanks!

I develop my own qt application Qt 5.6
And it uses gtk2
In the light theme it's great
But in the dark theme it looks like this

I guess you talking about active tab background - it looks like it interferes with window content. Actually, it’s not, and both active tabs looks the same way, you can see it on this screenshot with zoomed widgets https://ibb.co/mhYsP2H Second screenshot shows how those widgets looks like in native gtk2 application - window content below tab has border https://ibb.co/qBHrD0r So, the problem here is not with the theme, but with qt5gtk2 engine, probably, it uses widgets wrong way (and this tab bar is a bit hacky, but all the related code was forked from Adwaita gtk2 theme - default one - and I prefer keep changes to minimum). I cant help you here. You can try to add border for window content that is below the tab bar (not sure if it is possible). Also, afaik, qt5gtk2 engine is unsupported and was dropped from qt5. I use qt5 applications with Fusion theme (with some color adjustments) - it looks different, but works without issues.

Actually, I think found a way to fix this and pushed a commit. Check it out, tabs should work fine now. Happy New Year!

Would it be difficult to customize my Lounge setup with a different accent color, please?
I'd like to try a darker blue. (the Gilouche blue, #639ACE)
Thanks!

You can open src/gtk3/_colors.scss and edit accent color variables. First pair is $selected_bl_color and $selected_fl_color - colors used for (not-only) text selection (light background/dark foreground), the second pair is $selected_bg_color and $selected_fg_color - darker accent color with light (matching) foreground color. Then, you should change accent color (selected_bg_color) for gtk2 theme in src/gtk2/gtkrc (and, probably, matching selected_fg_color too). For best experience, you should also modify colors on gtk2 assets (like progressbar, selected entry border, etc) - edit src/gtk2/assets.svg - replace colored elements with color you want in inkscape and re-render assets with render-assets.sh script in the same directory (by default it will override existing assets files).
When you made changes, continue with regular installation procedure.

Liked the older versions progressbars and handles much more. Also the square switches.
The new one looks nice, but not that outstanding.
You should have made two different themes, like lounge classic and lounge modern.

Hi again!
Installed Debian stable a few days ago.
Installed meson and sassc.
Tried to compile and got this when doing meson build:

The Meson build system
Version: 0.37.1
Source dir: /home/francois/Téléchargements/lounge-gtk-theme-1.7
Build dir: /home/francois/Téléchargements/lounge-gtk-theme-1.7/build
Build type: native build

Meson encountered an error in file meson.build, line 1, column 0:
Not enough arguments to project(). Needs at least the project name and one language

Debian stable is running GTK 3.22.11-1.

Thanks in advance!

On github I read:
Lounge theme supports gnome 3.28+ (gtk3 3.22+).
Requirements: meson, sassc packages. Lounge-night theme also requires gtk-murrine-engine (gtk2-engines-murrine for debian/ubuntu).

Couldn’t reply to your answer for some reason.
I’ll install meson from stretch-backports.
Version is 0.47.

It finally worked.
The theme is quite bright, don't know if that's how it's supposed to look like.
The background of the left pane in Thunar is as bright as the right pane if I remember well.

Looks like meson version is too old in debian stable. Required version is 0.40+. You can try download already built theme from Fedora copr repo https://copr-be.cloud.fedoraproject.org/results/monday15/lounge/fedora-28-x86_64/00830455-lounge-gtk-theme/lounge-gtk-theme-1.7-1.fc28.noarch.rpm (it is an archive file, just extract it somewhere, then copy Lounge folder to ~/.themes). Not sure how it will look though.

Hi guys, I really like this theme, the only problem I'm seeing is that in my case I'm not able to see the little "/" folder separator on nautilus, anyone have any idea why? All in all looks very good!
