Description:

Prof-Gnome-theme

Made by paulxfce

Call me old-fashioned, but I do not like all the dark themes out there. My focus is this:

A pleasing, clear and easy-on-the-eyes theme that is meant for those who use the Gnome-desktop professionally on a daily basis.

The focus in this theme is usability and compatibility: GTK-2 applications and GTK-3 applications look virtually the same.

IMPORTANT:

This theme is developed for the gnome DE. It works on GTK3.22 to GTK3.29, and GTK3.32/34, NOT GTK 3.30.

How to install:

Download the theme,

Just copy the extracted file to a '.themes'-folder you make in your home directory.
Then use Tweak Tool and select the theme.
LOG OUT AND BACK IN for changes to take full effect !

Please show me the exact settings of font-size and scaling-size and font-type. Because I cannot reproduce it here...
Btw the titlebuttons themselves do not scale. I have not yet found a decent solution for that.

And for the record: just increasing the font-size (not scaling) will work too.

Great work, thanks!
Are the pictures above taken on Manjaro XFCE desktop?
I'm asking because I run Debian (testing) XFCE and my panel is light, not dark like shown in the pictures.

9 I like it! Finally a clean, light theme with blue tone. I miss the blue folder icons and I think the window close button should be something else than orange. It would be cool if installing from command line was possible to get update automatically. Anyway, nice job!

Thank you. Blue folder icons? Those are part of an icon-theme. So not supplied.

I really appreciate this theme. Just one thing : when a dialog box appears, there is no clue to see what is the default choice if I press enter. By example, when i run the top command in gnome terminal and try to close the window.
Thank you for your beautifull work

Thank you for pointing that out.
It seems all my themes had the same problem...
But I found the solution. In version 1.1 the dialog focused buttond whil show a dashed line within the button.
So thank you again denezpariz !

9 excellent Paulxfce, I keep going back to your teams. Flexium has been my desktop/laptop/tablet theme since a while. Let's see how this one fares up to it. Good and dependable themes from you as always.
