Thank you!
Ubuntu uses Gnome as desktop, this layout is for Latte dock which installs on Plasma kde.

10 10 the best, and flexible enough for further customizations. Thans a lot for this.
I have one small question though. After moving the dock at the bottom to the left and stretching it to full length, I added Launchpad Plasma Transparent at the top, Trashcan widget at the bottom, and Minimize All Windows widget immediately below the Latte Tasks widget. But the Minimize All Windows widget is placed immediately above the Trashcan widget although the two Justify Splitters are below, not above it. It looks like Latte Tasks has been configured to behave like this in the config file.
I would appreciate very much if you can tell me how to modify this so that Minimize All Windows widget will be immediately next to Latte Tasks.

Oh, never mind. I've solved it by removing the original dock and creating a new one.

Hey, this layout looks amazing, so i try to install it on my Kubuntu 21.04, but i have some issues. First the docks don't seem they're floating, the round corners on the screen end side doesn't appear, so the background goes 'til the screen boarder and second, after restarting my pc, the top dock disappeared and i can't bring it back. I installed latte dock master, so it should be the newest one. Do you know how can i solve this?

Hi, surely you do not have the correct version installed, check if you have the margins option in the settings

I don't know what version is in the manjaro or arch repositories, you can search in AUR or download the version from github or gitlab and install with install.sh

Is this compatible with Kubuntu 21.04 with the latest KDE?
I'm also having the problem with the floating dock and panel.
or is it something about the latte version?
Are floating docks a latte 8 feature only?
I'd love to make this work. It's the best I've seen

Hey this design is amazing and the dock and panel float and look amazing, but how do I make the top panel less blurry and contrasty? Like the top panel looks so weird its like I'm having a problem with my eyes. I have disabled all effects, that still does nothing, the text is being kind of repeated on the top panel.

In the system preferences, desktop behavior, desktop effects, blur, you can modify the intensity of the blur and noise of the effect, so that it looks softer or more intense. Otherwise you can set the opacity to 100% in the panel preferences or remove the blur effect, but I imagine the latter has already done that.

I have followed your steps to no avail. The panel looks perfectly okay when its not floating (when another window is maximized), but it looks blurry and weird when it is floating. Any way to fix this? Maybe I need to reset some settings? Maybe it is the custom font I am using? I'm using KDE Plasma 5.21 on Manjaro. Thanks in advance

You are right, it looks blurry in your captures, even the icons, with another plasma theme it looks the same?
I have plasma 5.21 in KaOS and it looks clean https://i.imgur.com/HPeASbX.png

Yes, I have tried changing the theme and resetting compositor and desktop effects setttings, and even messed around in Latte settings, I'm still not able to fix it.

Really nice design. Just one question, is it possible to change the top float bar behavior ? I mean, the default config is change to Static/Solid when one window is maximized. Is it possible to make it change to Static/Solid when any window touch the float ?

I don't see that option, maybe I should propose it to the Latte Dock developer on github.

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess it would be a good feature.

I have seen that there are several versions, the latest version is 0.9.11, do I have to install the latest one?

Report

No, the 0.9 versions do not have the floating dock options. You must clone or download the zip from the code button. Read the Installation.md to install, I use the method sh install.sh

Hi, wonderful job! I installd latte-dock from github, installed the edna layout from the repo (not using the download file here listed) but I can't get back the floating bars and everything seems working not well. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot

Hey, I really like your layout specifically the top bar. I had downloaded it and was using it and it worked great until I did some updates and now the bar is stuck to the top of the screen and doesn't do that great looking floating thing. Any ideas how I can fix this?
