Made by EtienneGnome (with some little touches from Paulxfce)


This theme is the first variation from LinMOS (LinMOS is not Mac OS) theme.
Like LinMOS, this theme is build and tested to provide a nice desktop environment :
> Gnome 3.38 compatible
> Light and Dark version
> Transparent and Solid (non-transparent) version
> Gnome Shell adapted theme

It comes with some new refinements :
> Support for 4K resolution
> Support for keybord driven highlighting
> Reworked OSD widgets

TIPS:

Users with Nvidia driver are recommended to use solid version.

Solid version : version without transparency.


NEW:

2.0: Updated from Equilibrium : Gnome 3.38+ compatible, real solid version for Nvidia drivers, support for Nemo file browser, compiled for best results
1.0: Initial version with transparent and non-transparent (solid), light and dark versions.


IMPORTANT:

This theme is developed for the gnome DE. It works on GTK3.22 to GTK3.29, and GTK3.32/34/36/38+, NOT ON GTK 3.30, NOT ON GTK 4 NOR GNOME 40.

How to install:

Download the theme :

> BottleGlass-2.0
> BottleGlass-Solid-2.0
> BottleGlass-Dark-2.0
> BottleGlass-Dark-Solid-2.0

Just copy the extracted file to the '.themes' folder you make in your home directory.
Then use Gnome-Tweaks tool and select the GTK3 and Gnome Shell themes for 'Applications' and 'Shell'.
LOG OUT AND BACK IN for changes to take full effect !

If I can suggest, in regard to the shell I'd find more elegant having the straight corners on maximized windows - or the faculty to choose between round and straight corners.

I'm not sure to understand you : are you saying the corners of maximized windows should be straight to be more elegant ? But they are currently rounded ?

Yes, precisely! Excuse me for being unclear. I have to specify I'm using a single panel at the top of the screen; and the top corners of maximized windows - on the side towards the panel - appear rounded. Personally, I'd prefer straight corners. If I can help, I know the parameter to change this property is

.panel-corner {
-panel-corner-radius: 0px;
[...]
}

Would like to add one more vote for GTK2. There are still app using GTK2 (Audacious for example). They looks really bad when the theme doesn't support GTK2.

Technically a very solid theme. Works ( and looks ) well made, with eye for details. The color-scheme is daring, but well executed. I am surprised no one takes the effort trying out this theme. It is actually worth it. The themer obviously has invested a serious amount of time in it. So, please try and comment.
