Description:

The Sparkler.

The Sparkler generates sparkles around your pointer when moving it.

The Sparkler is written by Christian Reitwiessner, not by me.

I just found it and thought putting it here, too (and creating a debian binary)

Truly an interesting app, not necessarily for what it does, but what it *could do*, like mouse trails, etc. Anybody know how to capture events like clicks and such?

One problem I have is that my screen goes black after a coupld seconds, until I move the mouse again. I'm running compiz-fusion, so I'm sure it has something to do with that.

For anyone interested, compiz fusion has a hopped up version of this called "showmouse". Also, I've developed a mouse trails plugin for CF.

You have to install the X11 Development Headers via your package manager. eg: libx11-dev
