not, purple is the mixture of red and blue (in varying proportions), no green.
For example: (RGB values from 0 to 255)
Red = 60 Green = 0 Blue = 240 or rgb = 102 0 153 (standard) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple

The color of the menu that I use is RGB = 60 51 240 (green = 51)

If you see purple is that there is something strange. Do you have the possibility to see it on another computer?

It may be that having less green than red, purple can appear on some computers (or for some people).

However, to mitigate it may seem purple, I changed the color to rgb = 60 60 240 (red and green in the same proportion)

Please download it again and tell me as you see.

Note:

"1) The window control buttons are still not shipped in unity themes"
You are right, I have not because of my bad English. Sometimes I understand the 80% -90% of what I read. This time I got the message ;)
If you do not mind, I would like to incorporate the correction of the buttons that you have made. :)

"2) Why does the theme force a transparent panel in Unity?"
My answer is unequivocal: it is more elegant (always in my point of view).
Unity settings make it more or less transparent panel colors, the level of transparency is uniform throughout, affecting even the appearance of the fonts.

The theme makes a transparency gradient (no color gradient), the panel is less transparent at the bottom and more transparent at the top. This can not be achieved with the settings of unity customization. (I do not know if I explained well)

Anyway, I'll include the option of an opaque panel for the next version ;)

Thank you very much for your comments are always very interesting - Dec 21 2011

Yes, I know and I tried it, but I do not like. The color of the sidebar of nautilus is so because this is how I like, sorry (that's why for me is impossible)

However, if you try marlin, you will see that those are your colors without changing anything. The design of marlin and nautilus is different.

The only way to look good in nautilus, is also applying these colors to pathbar of nautilus (was my initial design), although in the end I decided to put in gray. Not rule out putting it as an option in the next version

Sorry, I misunderstood your comment, but my answer is almost the same in nautilus with SL or L.
To get the "sidebar" as in the screenshot, it must be with marlin. The current design of Nautilus is not good for what you want. At least in my point of view

Also, if the people of gnome decides to change the design of nautilus ... would be what you want :)

With nautilus and Adw. cupertino SL is impossible, but marlin with Adw. cupertino L Unity (not SL) is possible. In fact looks like (as far as possible)

SL emulates Snow Leopard, L Lion, that's the idea. Your screenshot is Lion Finder (graphite theme). Have you tried Marlin? If you have not done ... try it, see it is very similar

Yes, in fact I've also thought about removing "mouseover" on buttons and comboxes.
The problem is that some users may like to "mouseover". although I prefer to remove.

I have used Mac(Snow Leopard) and really there is little "mouseover" in general, I do not rule removed in a later version

The error in the title bar is due to the size of the font.
In the next version (1.2) is solved.

You only changed 3. Png files (max. min. close) off metacity theme without changing a single line of original GTK3 theme.

I recommend you publish your small modification in the metacity themes section as a modification of elementary theme to fit the reality of their work. - Nov 27 2011

Thanks for your comment!
You can do it yourself by editing the file "../Adawaita Cupertino xx/gtk-3.0/gtk-widgets.css" on line 45

GtkWindow-resize-grip-height: 10;
GtkWindow-resize-grip-width: 10;

Replace the '10' (10 pixel) for the value that best suits your needs.
