do you mean the one with suit and tie? personally, i don't understand what's wrong with that icon. i think it looks pretty cool.
- Jun 20 2011
if you use a dark theme, just open the "index.theme" file in your faenza fresh installation folder and add "Faenza-Dark" to the "inherits" line.
After that it could look like this:
Inherits=Faenza-Dark,Faenza,Humanity,Tango,gnome,hicolor,

i'll try to provide an easier solution for this for the next release. - Jun 16 2011
done, included, published...
i hope you like it ;) - Jun 16 2011
i think the current faenza icon for the category "games" would be fine here. I'll see what i can do. - Jun 16 2011
musescore and rosegarden will come with v0.2, quod libet maybe in a later version - May 08 2011
yes you could!
it's already done and will be included in the next version :) - May 08 2011
i'll see what i can do. expect icons for these apps in one of the next releases. - May 03 2011
np, i'll do an icon for that;) - May 03 2011
nope, i'd need an SVG - Apr 21 2011
since i am not the mantainer of the faenza PPA, i can't upload my icons there. sorry. - Apr 21 2011
as i said, it seems like there is no official SVG for the new logo :( - Apr 21 2011
first of all, here we are not talking about doing ANY small-sized icons but doing PERFECT small-sized icons.
so, there are already icons in any size which can be used for any purpose.
and since
1) gnome is the most popular DE
2) faenza is a GNOME icon theme
3) it is probable that other DEs will change their look too
i think it makes more sense to do icons for all major applications first and then worry about details.

but i promise you that, as soon as that target is reached, the first thing i will do is these small-sized icons:)
meanwhile, i invite you or anyone else to help me by doing the missing small- and extra-small-icons. - Apr 21 2011
There are 3 sizes of Faenza icons: normal (big), small and extra small. 48px and 32px icons are exports from the big icons, 24px and 22px from the small icons and 16px from the extra small ones.
however, the 16px, 22px and 24px application icons are used ONLY in gnome panels/menus, which will disappear from most gnome desktops within the next months, since both gnome shell and unity shell don't use them.
having this in mind it doesn't make much sense doing icons in 3 sizes if 2 of them probably won't be used by anyone.

so what i did is exporting the "big" icons to all png-sizes which causes the small discrepancies between my small icons and the official ones. this provides small-sized icons to gnome2-users, which aren't perfect but good enough to be used on the system.
i didn't check it, but i guess faenza-variants does the same.

i am probably not going to fix this because:
1) 99% of all users don't notice it
2) it would take me too much time which i can use to do icons for more applications
3) the small-sized application-icons will die with the gnome2 desktop

by the way, this problem is mentioned in the "known issues" in the "INFO.txt" (which nobody reads^^). - Apr 21 2011
thanks for your feedback!

i'll leave the "inherits" this way since everyone can customize it the way he wants. however, i added this to the description.

the problem with the new firefox logo is that i couldn't find an SVG logo. if you know where i can find one, please tell me... - Apr 19 2011

wtf??
No idea why or how this happened but it's unlikely the script did that...
I don't think it is possible to undo the script. Maybe the best thing is to delete the Faenza icons, reinstall them and try to install the libo-icons once more.

By the way V2.1 isn't the newest version, there's V3 now:

nope, it's NOT just for docks.
the download contains the svg icons (for docks) and png exports in 4 sizes (for menus). - Feb 05 2011
i've added an instruction for installing the icons.

ps: there's a textfile "how_to_install" in the download. - Feb 04 2011
